Needed a new pair of rainboots. Those darn rubber rainboots are always tearing or leaking and they are never wide enough for my calfs so they tend to scrunch down. In searching around, I caught these on sale at another site for $70. I was hesitant because I prefer a lower heel when traveling to and from work. Turns out the heel height is extremely comfortable. The wide shaft easily fits my wide calf legs with plenty room to tuck in my pants. I did shorten the side ties to make them more accommodating. The shoe part is a tad narrow. My foot is a bit chubby, but I've never worn a wide width shoe. The boots are not at all pinching or uncomfortable, just a bit snug. So I wore them with a very thin sock. However, by the day's end they had already stretched out a bit. Let me tell you that these boots are so comfortable I kept them on all day at work. Didn't bother to change into shoes. My feet stayed perfectly dry in the rain -- and I have actually tried them out in several puddles!!! These boots are AWESOME !!! So happy I took a chance on them and that I caught them on sale, because I would never have considered spending $195 for rainboots. These boots are super comfy and sexy and there is no need to limit them to rainy days. The fact that they are all leather is icing on the cake !!! Not to mention the rubber non-slip sole. I bought these in black and loved them so much I later bought them in yellow, and will buy the red also if I find my size at a great price.
