Order Yamaha RX-V365BL 500 Watt 5-Channel Home Theater Receiver

I haven't owned a lot of stereos, but this one seems to be very good. The sound is very similar to my old Pioneer, but this unit isn't quite as heavy as it uses newer technology. I bought it to play music from my computer. I first had to buy a sound card from Turtle Beach. It was less than $50 and worked like a charm. The stereo has two optical inputs for use with TOSlink/ optic cables. I figured out that on the stereo you have to use the Music Enhancer function to play music from MP3 files (compressed files). I haven't figured out all the functions and inputs yet. I just have it doing one thing - playing two 100 watt Sony speakers of my music downloads, and it sounds real real good. I play hard rock music really loud, and the sound is very good. That's part of the reason why I didn't want a shelf unit mini-stereo. I live out in the country, but I still pick up some radio stations clearly. I think you have to use presets for the graphic equalizer. I don't know what $1000+ stereo and speakers sound like, but this is plenty good for me; and I would recommend it.Get more detail about Yamaha RX-V365BL 500 Watt 5-Channel Home Theater Receiver.
