I favor these tall slim-fitting boots because I'm always out in the rain and prefer something functional as well as stylish. These boots keep you warm and dry and your feet never sweat because the gortex breathes. They have been comfortable to wear without any additional insoles. Note that these are very form fitting and they fit a foot and calf that is an average width but would be too tight on a wide foot or large calf.
